One of the Top Three Worst Training Rides of My Life!
Okay, this may be one of the worst pictures of me as well; however, it does display how absolutly miserable the ride was. I literally rode through a sand storm (cars had to stop because you couldn't see the road) and gusting winds of 45mph hour...so much for the "nice" weather we were expecting yesterday! If you look closely, you can see the dirt caked in the crevices of my lips and underlining my eyes where my glasses stopped. The left side of my face was literally brown and I think I underwent at least 5 "natural" microderm abrasions on my ride home. Not to mention the debris I picked out of my hair (which was under my helmet) during a shower afterwards.

Hit the Road...Kelvin
Hey, last time Indiana's head coach got fired (Bobby Knight-my senior year) we made it to the Finals with an interim coach...maybe this will be a repeat?!
No official announcement yet, but the buzz on the street is he is gone: Fired.

GO RED WINGS!!!
Chris and I met up in Denver at the Pepsi Center to watch the Wings/Avs game. Both of us showed up wearing red and white to support our favorite team. Chris was psyched to wear his new jersey...in fact, I believe he wore it all day on campus and got quite a bit of attention. Growing up so close to Hockeytown, we will always be Wings fans.
The celebration at the end of the game...very physical, a few fights, and four goals always makes for a good night of hockey!

Unlike our last trip to the Pepsi Center for a Wings game, there was a ton of Wings love this time around. In fact, the Wings crowd was much louder than the Avs were throughout the game, it was almost like we were at the Joe!

A time for work and, finally, a time for rest!
This is where I have spent many (actually almost all) of my workouts since returning home from my winter training trip...in the garage, pounding away on the pedals with the stereo blaring. Not only is riding the trainer boring but I have been doing Power Intervals which are incredibly painful...and if they aren't, you are not riding hard enough! Anyways, I finished my last PI workout of the build yesterday and am now resting/recovering...until my next three week PI build starting again next week. But, the good news is that I got in all six of my 3 minute efforts in over 250 watts yesterday, a personal best!

GO GIANTS!!!
Not being a fan of Tom Brady, I was psyched when the Giants came back to win the Superbowl last night!!! I went to a youth group party but as you can see, the female leaders took over the couch while the kids hung out in the hot tub and/or downstairs watching the projector version of the game.
