Dinner and Scrabble with the "Wilsons"
Wilson= Wilner (Levi's last name) + Larson (Mandy's last name)

Last night we bbq'ed and played a good game of Scrabble into darkness with only a candle and fire to light the last few rounds. I made a huge comeback with a 42 point play and ended up winning late in the game...my first few rounds were impaired because I had all vowels-A,I,O,U...yeah, get some points with those letters!

By the way, Levi and Mandy are getting married in 5 weeks!!!

Another Arrest in the OCC!
We had another porch front arrest yesterday here in the OCC. I looked out the window and thought somebody was about to get a speeding ticket until the police officers arrested a teenage boy...he was in the passenger seat, the driver was okay but his info was taken. Great to know our corner is high on arrests!

Straight A's!
I got my report card last night...straight A's for the second term in a row! :) Considering I took the hardest class in the school last term, that means I have no excuse not to get an A in every class right? (FYI: Below a B is failing, so I don't really have much option anyways.)

Fire It Up!
I am back in Colorado and it's warm here too! With the warm weather, we had to start spring out right (2 days early) with a BBQ!

Of course, the guys were excited to get the grill going again...with the four grills we have in our backyard, they had plenty of toys to choose from!

IU Plays UCLA Today!

IU beat Gonzaga last night! Up next is UCLA...go Hoosiers!!!

Dad's New Toy
Dad got his new toy today...a pool table! It's the real deal and pretty darn sweet!

Here is the first break on the new table...it is safe to say that dad beat me 3 for 3 tonight...though I take pride in being undefeated against him at Scrabble...the hand-eye coordination thing is not my strong point.

Meanwhile, Rudy was very concerned that we would forget to feed him dinner so he was licking his bowl looking for any sort of food in there. Like his rhino? This is his favorite stuffed animal of the week! :)

Living Large in SoCal!
Dad was showing me how to say "Aloha" in Hawaiian today...he had adapted to this SoCal lifestyle pretty well...it's only a matter of time before he learns to surf!

He got off work early today and was kind enough to grill steak...Dad's steak, asparagus and potatoes...one of my favorites!

On a side note, check out this "marine layer!" It started to move in this afternoon and the coast was completely covered with fog...only a mile or so inland and sunny blue skies! :) I am really liking this 80+F weather...though I hear CO is pretty warm too right now, it better stay that way next week!

Let's go fly a kite!
Yesterday, mom, dad, and I headed down to the beach to try out flying a kite. It was a perfect day with good wind and warm sun...note how many people were on the beach. It was packed from Carlsbad to Cardiff by the Sea!

Dad's kite flew party darn high...he probably got it up to 250 feet...now that he knows it flies, it is time to learn some tricks!

After an afternoon on the beach, we went out to dinner at Pacifica in Del Mar...delicious! And dad timed it just right so that we could watch the sunset while eating dinner.

Tourney Time!

Ah, the good life!
What is better than riding in sunshine in shorts and a jersey? Laying out by the pool afterwards with Cos and Rudy...oh, and add to that, dad's pizza and it was a good day! :)

SoCal Sun...Feels So Good!
I made it to Cali today in time for a nice little ride along the ocean...and I even rode in shorts! Arms were negotiable...knowing that I have a few weddings to attend this year, I am working hard to keep the farmer's tan to a minimum.

This is the view behind my head...either my head is really big or my arms are really short...or maybe I just had poor aim! Considering I woke up at 4 am to catch my flight, I am going to blame it on aim! :)

Guess Who's Headed to Cali?!

I am and I cannot wait! :) I fly out tomorrow and get 8 days in the SoCal sun!!!

Time to Celebrate!
As of this morning, I am officially done with my January term classes! Wohoo!!! :) And, at 9am it is already 55F!!! :)

DU Makes A Comeback!
Chris and I went to the CC/DU hockey game last night. Let me tell you, it was one of the most exciting games of hockey I have ever watched. DU came back to tie the score with two goals in the final 36 seconds of the game. The game ended in an overtime tie. CC (#17) beat DU (#6) in Denver on Friday night.

Bargain Time!
I was at Safeway shopping the other day and found this amazing deal! The pink sign says "Reduced for Quick Sale!" Yes, that says $11.96 for a jar of PEANUT BUTTER! Do you really think somebody who is going to spend nearly $12 on peanut butter cares about saving 3 whole cents? Seriously, that is two trips to Chipotle for me!

In Like A Lion
March certainly rolled in like a lion last night with another winter storm...this was more ice than snow though. All I have to say is it better roll out like a lamb, this weather is getting very old! At least I will be in SoCal this time next week! :)
